This role is perfect for a forward-thinking professional with a strong background in cloud development and architecture who is eager to design and optimise innovative cloud solutions.

In this position, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the cloud infrastructure, focusing on designing and implementing scalable and secure architectures on AWS. Your expertise in programming will be essential as you develop cloud-native applications using languages such as Python, Java, or Node.js. You will utilise Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, including Terraform or AWS CloudFormation, to automate deployments, and will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver effective cloud solutions.

Your ability to optimise existing applications and cloud resources for performance and cost-efficiency will be crucial to this role. You will implement CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment processes while monitoring and troubleshooting cloud applications and infrastructure to ensure high availability. Staying abreast of AWS services and best practices will be key to driving continuous improvement within the team.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with 15+ years of relevant experience in cloud development and architecture, particularly with AWS. Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or JavaScript, combined with proficiency in AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, and Lambda, are essential. Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, containerisation technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, and a solid understanding of security best practices in cloud environments will be highly advantageous. Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and strong communication skills are vital for success in this collaborative role.

Preferred qualifications include AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Developer status, experience with serverless architectures and microservices design, and knowledge of database management systems (SQL, NoSQL).
