Job Title: Lead BankFast Engineer

We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for a Lead Engineer to join our client’s team, focusing on the implementation of Sandstone Technology’s BankFast eXperience Platform (BXP). This role is crucial for the design, integration, and deployment of BXP, ensuring the platform is optimised to meet the organisation’s business objectives. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of digital banking platforms, strong technical leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across various teams.
In this pivotal position, you will oversee the full lifecycle of implementing Sandstone Technology’s BXP, from requirements gathering to deployment and post-launch support. Your expertise will be essential in designing and developing scalable and secure solutions within the BXP framework, ensuring optimal performance and alignment with business goals. As a technical leader, you will mentor and inspire a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment that drives successful project outcomes.
A key aspect of your role will involve seamlessly integrating BXP with existing banking systems and third-party services, ensuring data consistency and secure transactions. You will also be responsible for tailoring the BXP platform to meet specific business needs, including the development of custom components and features. Close collaboration with product managers, UX/UI designers, and other stakeholders will be necessary to deliver an exceptional user experience.
To ensure the highest quality deliverables, you will implement best practices in coding, testing, and deployment, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues that arise during and after implementation. Maintaining detailed technical documentation, including system architecture, configurations, and operational procedures, will also be a vital part of your responsibilities. Staying informed about the latest developments in Sandstone Technology and other digital banking platforms will enable you to recommend enhancements that keep your solutions cutting-edge.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years specifically in implementing Sandstone Technology’s BXP. Proven experience in leading technical teams and delivering successful digital banking projects is essential. You should be proficient in modern programming languages and frameworks (such as Java, .NET, Angular, or React) and have a strong understanding of API development, microservices architecture, and cloud-based deployments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
A thorough understanding of digital banking solutions, customer onboarding, loan origination, and other financial products within the BXP ecosystem is also required. The successful candidate will have demonstrated the ability to lead and inspire engineering teams while fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and leading Agile teams will be advantageous.
